Welcome to Captain Pauly’s Podcast! I have been a fishing guide in Venice, Louisiana for the last decade. During my time guiding I've met some of the most entertaining characters and heard some of the most incredible stories you can imagine. After much thought, I decided to create my own podcast to preserve and encapsulate these stories to the best of my ability. My guests include charter captains, tournament fishermen, commercial fishermen, boat builders, marine biologists, fishing industry professionals, and many avid recreational fishermen! Captain Joe Von Thron has worked on boats all over the continent and shares his experiences on his YouTube channel. We talk about a wide variety of stories, from trying to get triple digit yellowfin past the great whites at Guadalupe Island, catching 120 wahoo in a single day on the ridge offshore Baja, all the way to catching 900 pound bluefin a mile off the coast of North Carolina. In addition to his fishing ventures, Joe is well known for his YouTube channel “Joe VT Fishing” which has amassed over 50k subscribers.
