Welcome to Captain Pauly’s Podcast! I have been a fishing guide in Venice, Louisiana for the last decade. During my time guiding I've met some of the most entertaining characters and heard some of the most incredible stories you can imagine. After much thought, I decided to create my own podcast to preserve and encapsulate these stories to the best of my ability. My guests include charter captains, tournament fishermen, commercial fishermen, boat builders, marine biologists, fishing industry professionals, and many avid recreational fishermen! I hope you will join me as I continue to do my best to produce the most entertaining and most profound water-based conversations possible!

Angelos Apeitos is the hatchery manager at the University of Southern Mississippi’s research laboratory, located in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. I was given the opportunity to have Angelos give me a tour of the facility and I got to see the massive 14lb speckled trout that they have raised at the research lab. Getting to know Angelos and learning from a guy like him was truly an awesome experience. Tune in to hear a very entertaining and educational conversation between a fisherman and a scholar!
